Rabbi Abby Michaleski received rabbinic ordination from ALEPH: Alliance for Jewish Renewal Ordination Program in January 2015 after nine years of formal study. She holds a Master’s Degree in Jewish studies from Gratz College in Elkins Park, a B.A. in Psychology from Rutgers University and a New Jersey license as a Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor.
Rabbi Abby has been the Spiritual Leader of Temple Beth El of Hammonton since 2006 and we are pleased to have her continue with us as an ordained rabbi. Prior to entering rabbinical school, she worked along- side our student rabbi for three years as our cantorial soloist, bringing modern and ancient melodies into our prayer and community programs. She continues to bring her musical, liturgical and spiritual skills to our community, leading all of our services, adult education and holiday celebrations. Rabbi Abby has been a Jewish educator and spiritual leader for over 20 years in the South Jersey and Philadelphia areas; bringing a creative, dynamic and spiritual energy to this congregation as well as the larger Jewish community. Rabbi Abby maintains a rabbinic and counseling private practice in Voorhees New Jersey. She is available for private consultation and to officiate life cycle events along with her leadership through Temple Beth El.
