Temple Beth El has been serving the needs of the Jewish Community in South Jersey with a blend of tradition and innovation since 1934. Located in the beautiful residential section of Hammonton, NJ, our welcoming congregation is filled with members who have a strong commitment to Jewish values and wish to honor Jewish tradition while seeking contemporary meaning. Our community embraces an inclusive and egalitarian approach to Judaism. We welcome Jews from a variety of backgrounds and fully embrace interfaith and multifaith seekers. Temple Beth ElTaking a Jewish Renewal approach, we are a congregation of seekers and not mere observers, each walking a personal religious and spiritual journey while supported and connected to community. Our goal is to create sacred space and opportunities for learning, davvening (prayer), sharing and building meaningful connections with each other, Judaism and the Divine. Our religious leader, Rabbi Abby, serves as a spiritual guide and teacher in this process and is accessible and welcoming to all. Temple Beth El’s services and programs blend Hebrew and English and are comfortable for individuals and families with diverse levels of Jewish background and knowledge. Our Hebrew school is unique in that our classes are small and meet once weekly, yet educate and foster a deep connection to Judaism in our children.We pride ourselves on our active participation and enjoy numerous events together, both inside and outside the synagogue.Our members span the entire South Jersey area, including Camden, Burlington, and Atlantic Counties.Want to See More?Friday night and Saturday morning services, Hebrew school, adult education, Passover and Tu B’shvat seders, congregation meetings, Hanukkah parties, Purim carnivals, High Holy Day services — all shared with a welcoming and nurturing community.
