What's Happening at Temple Beth El

It was a cold and stormy winter. In February, Hammonton, like most of South Jersey got clobbered by two heavy snowstorms. When the snow started melting into the ground, it was just too much for our sump pump to handle. Members picked up mops and buckets and cleaned up, painted, and restored what they could. Then, in short time, we were inundated with heavy rains, and this time, the sump pump just totally failed. As a result, besides water, we had mold and mildew, and the classroom, meeting room, and kitchen were unusable.

Below are some pictures. (Click on the imgage to enlarge)

.. Thanks to Fred Mason for the photos.

This picture shows the accumulated water.

This picture shows the sanctuary, which is temporarily a storage room for everything from the basement rooms.
